1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PetBase, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use PetBase. These Terms are entered into between you and PetBase LLC.

2. Description of Service

PetBase is a pet health and community management platform that allows you to store pet health records, connect with other pet owners, discover local services, and manage your pets' information. We offer both a free tier (supported by advertising) and a premium subscription tier.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use PetBase. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information and keep it updated.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post content that is harmful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or illegal.
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of PetBase or its systems.
• Use PetBase to send spam or unsolicited messages.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from PetBase without permission.
• Impersonate any person or entity.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or other harmful software.

5. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you post on PetBase (pet records, photos, posts, comments). By posting content, you grant PetBase a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute that content within the service as necessary to operate PetBase.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. PetBase does not endorse user-generated content and may remove content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines.

6. Premium Subscription

PetBase Premium is a paid subscription that removes advertisements and unlocks additional features. Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Premium access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. Current pricing is available on our Pricing page.

7. Intellectual Property

PetBase and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PetBase and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from PetBase without our written permission.

8. Medical Disclaimer

PetBase is an organizational tool for pet owners. Content on PetBase is not veterinary medical advice. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for health concerns about your pet. PetBase is not responsible for any medical decisions made based on information stored in the app.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PetBase shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) PetBase. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of PetBase shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Warranty Disclaimer

PetBase is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use PetBase ceases and your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of PetBase after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
